Progress in Eliminating my own Afib (Afib also coupled with SVT, Supra Ventricular Tachycardia)

A brief synopsis of my personal progress, success & journey during last 7+ years..

Very brief “summary of synopsis” up front: Eliminated my AFib coupled w SVT in the Fall of 2018 naturally (as in NOT thru medicine) .. Prior to that; Went thru a dreaded decade of having it during my fifties. Now at almost 67 with 7+ years of success, staying VERY VERY active & fit, feeling like i’m in my forties again AND on NO RX prescription meds since Jan of 2019 ..

Expansion:

Having reached a personal milestone of 7 years of success as of last Sept (Sept of 2025), felt it time to give a snapshot of my journey & progress.

As of January 2026,  i am now 66 yrs old and turning 67 this coming April.  Looking back to my very early fifties, circa 2010,  was the start of my “dreaded decade of AFiB”, during that time my condition kept getting progressively worse, was hospitalized and put on meds and diagnosed w Afib coupled w SVT.

Years BEFORE Fasting phase (found success but did not have Fasting integrated into my life as of yet):

Found success in Sept of 2018 after an especially harsh summer and of then being shown my future via traditional western medico approaches of types of ablation, a maze or mini maze surgical procedure and or an implantable device (ICD).. continued use of Prescribed Rx medications and possibly more meds and increasing dosages , ..  etc ..

 Also possible early forced retirement (from my jobs that included heavy physical work at times), BUT years ahead of my planned retirement at 65.

Studied all of these options closely (my wife is a nurse,  RN MSN), we said a big NO to all of them and pursued solely natural alternatives.

Discovered a lot thru online peer support groups & “Dr Google”.. identified the work of George Eby & Dr. Halcomb of having presented at the 2006 LAF (Lone Atrial Fibrillation) conference with their work using Amino Acid supplements of Taurine and Arginine and also discovered very quickly the benefit of substituting Citrulline over Arginine.

Discovered the work of Dr Carolyn Dean and the critical role of Magnesium and started using a generic brand of a form of Magnesium known as a liquid ionic type.

Discovered the work of Dr Stephen Sinatra and the pivotal role of CoQ10.

Collected these 4 components into a daily regimen termed “Core4” (thoroughly explained on this blog extensively)

In 2018 ..  Also thru Lifestyle changes & triggers management (as in NO alcohol & NO caffeine), exercise, diet and a daily regimen of “Core4”

in Sept of 2018 i dove into “the deep end of the pool” meaning max dosages of the so called “Core4” as mentioned here, along with triggers management of No alcohol and NO caffeine, life style changes and exercise and diet .. initially split up the max dosages as described in the 2006 Study amongst 4 daily veggie smoothies to minimize sugar intake.

Found initial success in Sept of 2018 in eliminating my long standing Afib & SVT (within  the very first week of consuming maximum dosages of the 2006 LAF Study published by George Eby & Dr Halcomb) study&  kept on going w that..

Stayed on this for bout 3 years till 2021 with PLENTY of laxative effect (run to the bathroom, so2speak).. but the Afib coupled w SVT was eliminated for the most part for all practical purposes, had some slight scares but no more full blown episodes lasting for almost a day, that was eliminated..

in 2021 i switched to a “Reduced version” ,  termed “REDUCE-CORE4”.. That is also explained in this personal journaling and peer sharing blog.

2024, refinements and planned retirement at 65.

In 2024:  Game changer yet again,  started with prolonged periodic Fasting:

in 2024 i took up fasting and this was a game changer yet again, did 3-5 sustained days “wet” fasting + daily electrolytes (as in water-only) during 2024, every month.. noticed being significantly better .. and kept really studying sustained  prolonged periodic fasting.

2025; GAME changer yet again and another breakthru..

Getting older, turned 66 and yet felt much better and lighter on my feet .. 

and in very beginning of 2025 transitioned to “hard-DRY-Fasting”, meaning nothing thru the mouth,  .. every month or every other month of 3 or  5 or  7 sustained days (7 days only once per year thus far, perhaps will increase to twice per year) of what’s termed “hard Dry Fasting”..

  • “hard Dry Fasting”, BUT with “proper recovery from Fasting”, bcs recovery is 70% of retained benefits of the Fasting, whereas the Fasting days represent only 30% of the derived benefits.

This has again enabled me to only take the REDUCE-CORE4 reduced dosages BUT NOW, only 2-3 times per week, still enjoying success without incident, — some slight scares but easily handled via “Legs Up on Wall” technique-maneuver wen needed to alleviate the scare (This maneuver is also explained on this journaling blog) —

still totally RX Prescription meds free..

staying very very active & fit for the most part, retired but “working for myself now” , harder than ever :-)) , doing physical work like construction and residential renovations like i did earlier in life and keeping up with the younger guys .. still ! :-)) ..

will be turning 67 in a cpl months in April 2026.

A note on meals intake / food consumption

In 2024 during “wet” prolonged periodic Fasting of monthly 3-5 days of Fasting , during the non-fasting times, (as in normal eating days, vast majority of each month) .. tried to also implement OMAD (one meal per day), struggled with this, ended up failing.. consciously struggled with snacking and ended up falling back to mostly 2 meals a day for the most part..

In 2025, HUGE change.. Mostly effortless OMAD now (a single meal a day) with just limited healthy snacking of mostly produce, veggies and very limited sugar intake.. incredible change in exerting NO effort in sticking to a single meal a day.. its like my aging body is using food MUCH more efficiently.. vacating (sitting on toilet) at least twice per day, very efficient from what i’ve studied.. , (also added other supplements, to help with aging, not directly related to Afib/SVT, like Curcumin, Resveratrol, Supralina, + a few more)  ..

Something has changed and i feel a lot healthier yet again.. i do not need as much food intake nor carbs and even tho i’m not a “Keto” adherent.. i verified that i stay in ketosis longer after a “hard DRY Fasting” and consume from my bodily stores much more now and i do limit my carbs but dont have to struggle near as  much with effort as i did during my “wet fasting” phase of 2024 ..
